I recently participated in a design "hack-a-thon" to redesign the Andaz brand site. The challenge put to the three teams was to more faithfully capture the immersive sensory experience of Andaz, Hyatt's most unique and luxurious brand, which prides itself on creating authentic local experiences "with a twist". My team sought to convey the sensory journey as much as possible through the screen, using stimulating colors, textures, imagery and a wholly unique user experience. I am proud to say my team won the competition, and would have been treated to a stay at an Andaz property... were it not for a certain global pandemic hitting.
