Sears Appliance Advisor is an app I conceived during an open-ended brainstorming session to develop new digital products for Sears. This was a solo endeavor, and I did all of the sketching, UX and visual design myself. The idea was to use a wizard pattern to guide a prospective appliance shopper, helping them to narrow their search based on their specific needs. The app also enabled the user to keep track of all their existing appliances, giving them the ability to report issues, submit ratings and photos, and keep track of subscriptions for items like water filters. My favorite feature was an augmented reality experience in which the user could snap a photo of their kitchen/space and see the new appliance in the context of their own home, with the option to share of course.
